Pantone’s Color 2012 – Tangerine Tango – Conveys “Courage & Action”

Every year, Pantone announces its color of the year. For the last two years, Stagetecture has showcased the gorgeous colors. The past years – Pantone 2011 – Honeysuckle & Pantone 2010 – Turquoise were delightful tones that were gorgeous and reflected the past years beautifully.

For 2012 – Tangerine Tango was chosen, and what a vibrant and bold color it is!

Can’t wait to see Tangerine Tango paired with neutrals in home design

‘The color of 2012 is a citrus-red hue that will give your weary eyes a break from all of those neutrals. Tangerine Tango, Pantone’s 2012 color of the year, was selected because, “there’s the element of encouragement with orange, it’s building on the ideas of courage and action, that we want to move on to better things. I think it would be a disservice to go with a relaxed, soothing color now,” Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, told the Associated Press.‘  -  The Washington Post

I can’t wait to see how home design will be transformed with the addition of the bold, and vibrant color. Like in all home decor, once it is combined with neutrals and other pairings, 2012 is definitely going to be a take charge year for design!
