Garden containers are very important in enhancing and displaying your plants. Whether you are trying to add visual interest to your outdoor home or you need mobile options for your plants, creative container gardens can help. They allow you to transfer your plants easily from one area to another.  These plants with creative containers are excellent home ornaments and will bring color to your outdoor home.

A creative container garden can be achieved with few easy steps and materials. Here are a few ideas:

Use your antique chair as movable planter.

If you think of throwing away your old chairs, well, think again! You can still use your old-fashioned chair as a movable planter for flowers to bloom. You can place it beside your door or on your porch. All you have to do is to remove the cushion seat and replace it with your flower pot. Make sure that your pot will fit in the chair bracket. Ensure that the flower pot is stable and secure for relocation.

Make planters with pockets.

This gives an artistic twist on your conventional pot. It provides a layered design of multiple plants combined into one container. To attain this container garden, select a sizeable container so enough soil can hold multiple plants in one container. In making pockets, make random or planned holes in the body of the container. Plant begonias, marigolds or petunias in the holes that you created. On top of the container, choose flowering plants like iris, tulips or daffodils.

Consider hanging containers.

Hanging flower pots are not new but often underrated. You can creatively make hanging containers as attractive ornaments for your patio or outdoor garden. Instead of using your typical hanging containers, use unusual materials. For instance, you may go to your garage or antique shop for your materials. You may have miner’s basket, plastic hats, or cone shaped fire bucket as your containers.
