Nautical Interiors – Inspiration from the Sea

The summer always reminds me of the ocean, sea and being one with nature. Nautical interiors inspired by the sea are one of my all time favorites. I’m not sure if it’s because I love the water, or its just the peaceful calm that I associate with the sea. I thought today I would feature some nautical interiors to consider your home.
Whether you utilize beach or driftwood and weathered materials, or you bring in sea inspired colors like blues, light green and yellows, and crisp whites, your interiors can resemble the nautical lifestyle with little effort. Consider using khaki or cotton furniture covers for casual homes that get a lot of wear and tear from kids, pets, and entertaining traffic!

This nautical look reminds me so much of my summers in Cape May. The pillows are especially inviting; so much more so than just a wicker chair or couch. Most interestingly enogh for me are the soft colors that add so much to relaxing and destressing. All I would need is a good book and a glass of lemonaide !
