Guest Blogger: Decorating your Loft into a Stylish Bedroom

Guest Blogger #643, Entry #1527, August 29, 2012

A witty transformation is all you need whether you are transforming your office or your loft. It’s a simple game of colours, furniture and decor- just a combination of some funky colours and voila! A beautiful loft cum bedroom is ready! The loft can serve as your secret bedroom which caters to your specific requirements. Whether it’s fun that you’re looking for or serenity and tranquillity, your loft can be a one stop place for you to dwell in.

My Decor, My Loft: My Wonderland!

You can start off by adjusting the colours of the walls in the loft: serene, funky, girly, boyish, artsy – whatever you like. You can get a car painted on the walls, sunflowers drawn, colourful circles drawn or perhaps even get your picture painted on the walls! You can also give the walls a kaleidoscope effect by colouring all sides of the walls in different colours.

Moreover, you can then play hide and seek via your roof blinds! Yes, there are a wide range of roof blinds being offered which include:

Blackout Blinds:

If you want to cure your depressions in your secret bedroom/loft, you can shut yourself up against the sun even when it is blazing outside with the blackout blinds! They are also available in the form of a duo blackout blind.

Energy Blinds:

If you want to give an energising feel to your loft or that mellow, romantic look with the perfect amount of rays, the energy blinds are for you. The aluminium material of these blinds absorbs just the right amount of sunlight!

Roller Blinds:

A complete covering for your roof window, this blind lets in appropriate amount of sunlight while maintaining your privacy.

Awning Blinds:

These are the more contemporary, stylish blinds placed on the outer side of your window to block the sunlight from entering.

Insect Blinds:

These are perhaps the most interesting ones. They hinder the flies and insects from entering your loft even when you leave the window open! Amazing isn’t it?

You can as well go for the normal, pleated blinds in different shades, complimenting the colours of your walls.

Decorating your loft

You can then furnish your loft with toys, beds, LCDs, pictures and even white boards: you might want to practise some teaching right up there! Put in some bright coloured bean bags and illuminate the loft with a pair of lamps: you can also put some fairy lights to lighten the atmosphere within and update the loft on a daily basis with fresh flowers!

So pick and choose according to your taste and budget. You would be surprised at what you can accomplish.
