New Year’s Entertaining: Wine & Grilled Cheese Bar Idea

Entry #1970, December 29, 2012

If you are planning to throw a party in celebration for the New Year, it has to be festive. The thought of having the opportunity to have another year deserves no less than a party. Of course, you have to be ready with all the party essentials to provide your guests with great entertainment and delicious food.

To make it easier for you to prepare everything, allow your guests to create their own Panini from a large cheese board. This way, they can customize their own combos from the different ingredients you prepared. It is one of the best ways to lessen your workload and at the same time accommodate your guests according to their preferences.

Add a favorite topping (or two)

  • Caramelized onions
  • Sautéed apples or pears
  • Sliced fresh fruit or vegetables
  • Dried apricots
  • Fresh herbs
  • Thinly sliced deli meat
  • Cooked bacon slices
  • Smoked salmon
  • Chopped toasted nuts

There are five popular combos that your guests can create with these ingredients – salty-sweet bacon, fruit and nut sliders, caramelized onion bliss, fancy ham and cheese and creamy dill and salmon bites. You can place both red and white wines for your guests to choose from. This will definitely enhance their excitement and fun during the celebration.
