Hidden Kitchen Storage Ideas You Forgot About

Entry #2001, January 11, 2012

Do you think you’ve done it all to make the most of your kitchen storage? Well, think again. You may be amazed to know that are a lot of areas that you can use as storage. These areas are often overlooked because of their location like corners, nooks and surfaces underneath.

Having extra kitchen storage options can make your kitchen look neat and orderly. It will also allow you to accumulate additional kitchen utensils and equipment. This is why you need to make us for everything you have for more storage.

To help you find some hidden kitchen storage that you fail to notice, here are helpful ideas that you can apply:

Use the space inside the cabinet door

Install a thin metal sheet that will cover the area. The steel sheet will provide the attraction of any magnetic bins that you can use as storage. This thin metal sheet barely consumes a space in your cabinet. If you don’t have a metal sheet, you can use clothes hooks as an alternative. You have these hooks as hangers for your kitchen utensils and tools. This is perfect for a spice rack or small items in your kitchen.

Utilize the upper cabinet

The topmost part of your cabinet is often free because it is not easily accessible. You may need a chair or ladder just to reach the top. But this doesn’t mean you cannot use it as storage. Seasonal items like carving tools for Halloween pumpkins and party supplies and equipment are perfect for this spot. Categorize each item so that it will be easy to get when needed.

Consider the space underneath the stove

Just below your stove is the broiler drawer that can be converted into storage for your cooking utensils. For instance, you can store trays, skewers and racks you have in your kitchen.

These storage areas are like treasures to find in your kitchen. They are just there in your kitchen waiting for you to discover and realize their worth.
