Decorating your Home for the 4th of July
The combination of red, blue, and white, if can be used skillfully, look great in home decorations, furnishings, and accessories. Probably, the best time to use this combination is in July when the sunshine is in full swing and the fireworks and flags are everywhere. In addition, these patriotic colors work well in both traditional and contemporary settings. Check out these ideas on how to use this combination to celebrate the Fourth of July.

A Centerpiece for the Dinner Table
You can easily bring the patriotic theme by creating a nice centerpiece for the dinner table. Take a bowl, fill it half with water, and place some star-shaped floating candles in it. Place a few tall pillar candles around the bowl. Add a red or blue table runner beneath the bowl. The entire centerpiece will shine when the candles are lit. You can also create a centerpiece by decorating lots of carnations inside a basket and placing some small American flags inside that arrangement.

Outdoor Decorations
Adorn your backyard garden, patio, and windowsills with some red, blue, and white flowers. Petunias will be an excellent choice for this purpose. Buy some petunias in a mixture of red, blue, and white and plant them in your flower pots and planter boxes. You can also buy crepe paper streamers and lots of balloons in these three colors and tie them to your patio, porch, mailbox, and other places around the yard.
Take some colorful white and red twinkling lights by digging your Christmas box and purchase a package of blue lights. Decorate your front porch and patio with them for your Fourth of July display.

Adorn Your Home with Stars & Stripes
Stars and stripes are an interpretation of the American flag. Create a patriotic impression by decorating a room after the flag’s style. Striped sofas in white and blue or red colors; a tinge of blue in the curtains; a star-studded pillow and striped cushion on chairs; and red, blue, and white metal stars on the walls will make any room inviting and flag-worthy. Instead of the metal stars, you can use a vintage flag on the wall as an artwork.

Red & White Accessories
Red and white accessories make it easy to decorate any place for the Fourth of July. White glassware and bowls with red dots, red-and-white fabrics for window coverings, and red canisters in the kitchen; a red tablecloth and white napkins tied with red ribbons on the dining table; red-and-white towels in the bathroom; and some antique ceramic red-and-white roosters to adorn the fireplace mantel will make your home compatible for the Fourth of July celebration.
