Materials Needed:
- Tree branches
- 4” nails
- 2 x 2 wood
- Hammer
- Steel Tape
- Ripsaw
- Paint
Directions:
- Create a frame. To do this, you may decide the measurement of your coat rack depending on the availability or the length of your branches. Use the 2 x 2 wood and form it into a frame. Make sure that the frame is enough to hold branches of trees you have. Use a steel tape measure to be more accurate with the dimension.
- Insert the branches of the tree into your frame. Since your frame is done, the measurement of your branches will have to adjust to the frame. Cut the branches of the tree carefully so that it will fit accurately in the frame.
- Secure the hold of the branches. Using your 4” nails, position your branches first before nailing it down. The distance may be depending on the curves and style of your branches. To ensure that your branches are stable, get hold of two nails for each side.
- Paint your frame with forest colors like brown and green. You may also use a natural colored varnish for this project.
That’s all you need and you will have a nature-inspired branch coat rack. You can do this in your free time this weekend. This is a simple yet very useful project for your weekend DIY project around the house!
