#GiftCardCheer Cookie Cutter Wreath with Target
How to Make a Cookie Cutter Wreath
Now that you’ve decided to give them a Target GiftCard®, why not get creative and present them with it in a fun way? A cookie cutter wreath is simple to make as it’s made entirely from cookie cutters, wire, and ribbon… that is it. They can hang it as holiday decor on their favorite door during the holidays and after the New Year, snip the pieces of wire and bake up cookie goodness for their friends and family.
Materials you will need:
- Cookie cutters in your choice of shapes and colors (Hint: Lay the cookie cutters out in Target in the shape you want to make sure you have enough and they fit together nicely.)
- Craft wire
- Wire cutters
- Ribbon – I prefer wire ribbon so you can bend it
Directions:
- Lay out your cookie cutters in the shape you want to make a circular wreath.
- Depending on how tall your cookie cutters are will help you determine how long to snip your wire. I used 1 1/2 “ long wire.
- Wrap wire around cookie cutters in 1 or 2 places. Just enough to attach the adjacent cookie cutter.
- Continue attaching until you have attached all of the cookie cutters.
- You can use a store bought bow and make an easy one using the wire and ribbon.
- Gather ribbon and secure at the center with wire.
- Use wire to wrap around ribbon.
- Keep doubling the ribbon back and forth based on how big you want the bow.
- Leave extra wire at the end to wrap around your finished cookie cutter wreath.
Completing your Cookie Cutter Wreath:
- Now that you’ve attached the cookie cutters and made the bow, simply attach the bow to the top of your wreath with extra wire from bow.
- You can cut extra ribbon for the door hanger and tie around the top of your wreath.
- Attach your Target GiftCard® to the ribbon with a piece of tape.
Now that you are done, you can embellish it with fresh cut greenery, bells, or just leave it with just the cookie cutters. Your favorite culinary enthusiast will love receiving this Target GiftCard® this year, and you’ll love giving #GiftCardCheer!
We partnered with Target to bring you this slice of holiday cuteness as part of their #GiftCardCheer campaign.
