When we have children we become parents. As parents we want what is best for our children. Who doesn’t? From where they sleep to how they dress and what they eat we fuss over everything. Their bedroom or nursery should be no different. However achieving the perfect nursery or bedroom for your child doesn’t have to break your bank or stretch your wallet.

Color Ideas
The best bedroom can be achieved with simple paints and some out of the box thinking for decorations. Light colors such as blues and yellows can make a child feel warm and loved. A decent crib or if they are old enough a nice sized bed can be good for them. Lots of sunlight is always a good thing as well so don’t cover up the windows of the room. Sometimes stuffed animals add atmosphere but they can also carry germs with them. So the amount of stuffed toys should be kept to a bare minimum in the bedroom.
Walls & Floors
Wall decals also help with the atmosphere and add some color and fun to any bedroom. If you have an infant in a crib you may want a rotating mobile above the crib to keep the child occupied and help them find sleep at night. The rugs should be soft and even just as colorful. A nice wool rug can be warm and even comfortable to crawl on. Your child will be spending a good amount of time on the floor of their bedroom and nursery so it should be comfortable and clean.
Sometimes the most simple of ideas work better than anything complex. You wouldn’t think of it but this is the first thing your newborn will be exposed too. They will remember their first bedroom and nursery for the rest of their lives so make sure it something warm and inviting and not too overbearing.

Sometimes people are overzealous with color and decorations. This can impact the sensory perception of a child and overwhelm them. So take it easy on the color and always stick with basic colors. A crib that is stationary is better than one that rocks. This way there is no chance of the child injuring themselves. Also night lights are a great idea. You can find low energy using night lights which plug into the wall outlets and they light small spaces at night and even play soothing music which encourages sleep.

Hello, I love the brown tree-like bookshelf along the right wall in the first picture. Do you happen to know where that is from?
Many thanks!
