Guest Blog #51, Entry #463, March 30, 2011
Now that you have tackled the large areas of your home for spring cleaning, its a good idea to start looking at the areas of your home that get neglected. Your bathroom is one of these places. In our busy days we tend to forget about organizing under the sink, and especially inside the medicine cabinet!
Today, my guest blogger, Susan Stewart from Perfectly Placed shows you how to spring clean your medicine cabinet, and get the most use out of this essential area of your bathroom.

Spring is a good time to purge and organize your medicine cabinet. If you are like most people, you have way too much stuff in there and it is starting to get a little crowded. Think of your medicine as prime real estate in your bathroom. It is the closest storage to the sink and therefore your most precious place to store your MOST USED items!
Take a few minutes to pull out any items you only use once in awhile. Those things should be stored in a less accessible area. Now get rid of the things you used to use but no longer like. Those go in the garbage.
Remove the rest of the items and categorize (face cleaning, deodorant, dental, etc). Now give your medicine cabinet a good wipe down. When returning your most used items, don’t forget that the shelves are adjustable. If something doesn’t fit, adjust the shelf! If you need to maximize space, consider magnetic or suction cup holders for smaller items and attach them to the medicine cabinet door.
Lastly, don’t forget to label so you know where to put everything back. Yes, I’m serious. Try it and you’ll get that ooh, ahh feeling every morning as you get ready for your day!
