Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world! My dad loved to travel – he passed in 2005, way before his time. I miss him dearly – but one way I always feel connected to him is by traveling. When my sister and I were small we used to travel everywhere! We went on cruises, traveled by car for 3-4 days around the United States seeing this beautiful country. We would camp at RV parks, take the train, bus, airplane, you name it, the Joneses did it!

On this Father’s Day I think back on all of the wonderful times we had and my tribute to him is remembering the great times we shared. Eating at restaurants in far away lands and sleeping under the stars in mountainous terrain, I owe my dad the world! Today, I will take a few minutes and sit with my family and remember him and celebrate my husband who is the most perfect Dad there is. We will sit and reminisce and celebrate around a table of a “far away land” and celebrate Dads!

I was named after my father – ‘Ron’ and every day I look at my name I’m reminded of what a beautiful spirit he had and his zest for adventure was contagious. This Thursday, June 21st, 2012 marks what would have been my Dad’s 68th birthday. In honor of him I will launch my new Ebook – 111 Simple Tips for your Everyday Home. I chose this date as a gift of myself to the world, just as my dad was a gift to everyone he touched.
I love you Daddy,
Happy Father’s Day!
