Of all furnishings at home, the dining room furnishings are the ones utilized the most. We use our countertops, kitchen cabinets, dining tables and chairs everyday, and eventually dining room tables can show their wear and tear. This scenario has significant effects on the longevity and functionality of any furniture.

One of the obvious effects is the deterioration of chair padding. The chair padding is very important because it adds color, comfort and style to your ordinary chair, and it enables comfort while seating at the dining room table for a long time. Since chair padding is very essential, it is worth knowing the solutions on how to maintain, reupholster and repair chair padding. Knowing the solution is good but adding green to your solution is better.
Here are some green solutions to replace or add to your existing chair padding:
Use old jeans or shirt to replace the cloth
If you see your chair padding has a faded cover, it’s time to replace it with something new but with stylish materials. To do this, get your old and unused clothing or jeans. Measure the dimension of your chair padding compares it with your available fabric replacement. Do not throw your cut cloths and fabrics since you can add these pieces of cut cloths as addition fillings to your chair padding.
Arrange the chairs properly
There is nothing that can surpass the way the arrangements of the chairs in the kitchen. This simple act or solution is more on the preventive side. With proper arrangements, you can be sure of safety and accessibility of the furniture on a daily basis. For this reason, dinning chair arrangements can definitely work. This will provide a more attractive and wonderful view to all family members and visitors as well. It can also help the wear and tear on your chairs. Possibly relocating chairs away from a hallway or heavy trafficked area may prevent people sitting in the chair on the way to the next room, etc…

Use plastic wrappers or foils for filling
This is probably the most useful and creative way of stuffing your chair padding. You will help reduce non-biodegradable plastics to go to waste. To be able to do this, cut the wrappers and foils into thin pieces. Cut as many as you can to have more comfortable chair padding.
