Disclosure: I was furnished with a Christmas tree to decorate from Tree Classics. All opinions are strictly my own.
Breast Cancer Awareness month in October every year always holds a special place in my heart and in my home city of Jacksonville, Florida. From the Donna Foundation here in Jacksonville that honors women living with breast cancer to honoring dear family members of mine who have survived breast cancer, it is an important month. I was excited to pair with Tree Classics, who offer the finest artificial Christmas trees and decorate one in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. What made it extra special is that the girls of my Girls Scout troop decorated this gorgeous tree! Let me show you the all of the pink love!
Tree Classics: How we Honored Breast Cancer Awareness Month:
When Tree Classics first approached me I couldn’t think of how to make this tree extra special since it is for such an important cause. My co-leader and I decided that we would have our Junior Girl Scouts paint, fill, and decorate clear ornaments to show what makes breast cancer awareness important to them. Take a look at some of their gorgeous ornaments.
Breast Cancer Awareness Ornaments and Decorations:
We first started off with Tree Classics 6 ft Pre-lit artificial Christmas tree, which looks extremely lifelike, as the branches are all different sizes and lengths. Some of the needles feel real and combined with man-made materials the tree was a joy to decorate!
How cute are the ornaments with the garland and burlap ribbon? 🙂
After we decorated the tree we donated it to a wonderful cause:
Now that the tree is finished we found a Women’s Breast Health Medical Office here in Jacksonville that will display the tree proudly in their office during the holidays for their patients. It was important to me to find an office where the girls’ beautiful ornaments would be displayed and cherished for holidays to come!
Breast Cancer Awareness and what it means to me:
My Aunt has been diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and she has been a remarkable and uplifting testament to the human spirit and she continues to stay positive and that is admirable. I hope that our tree decorating keeps the spirit of hope to all of the patients and families that are affected by breast cancer in an uplifting way.
One day we will find a cure!
I thank Tree Classics for the wonderful opportunity for Stagetecture and our Girl Scouts to give back to the community. 🙂
