Sometimes when we look at corners in our interiors we just go past them because they can really seem insignificant. However, we can make them noticeable and aparent by painting them one contrast color from the walls, inserting a side table infront of them or having a plant/ accent piece that conceals the harshness that those two crossed walls create. But how about making the corners a useful space, such as setting them as shelving areas?

Corners are great for building shelves due to the fact that they have the sharp square like cave which makes it is easy to install the wooden planks used for the base of the shelves. Not only would you be adding storage and space to your home or office but the shelves act as another accent piece within the space. You can have your shelves create an abstract shape.

Someone went further and adding task lighting to the bottom of the shelves. That way more storage and light is being added into the space. The shelves of course don’t just have to be used for books but office supplies, pictures, sculptures and artwork. It is completely yours for the taking and making.

Floating shelves are great for adding depth! The best thing about the floating shelves is that if you are able to make the large and set them low enough then they can be desks or even vanity areas. All you would have to do is build the shelf then add a chair, which allows for you to save money, time, and energy.
See what ideas you can come up with and then do them. Creating shelves is an easy and affordable task that anyone can do and think of the results.
