Whether they are held at work or at home, they set the mood for the holiday festivities. One way of making guests feel appreciated for attending your party is by giving them favors. Presenting memorable gift favor ideas are a great way to start off the season of giving. There are many places you can buy gift favors including the internet and local stores. Even though you can purchase Christmas and holiday invitations and party decor anywhere, we love the idea of supporting Etsy shops and helping the small entrepreneur!

If you are on a tight budget or simply love to bake, give cookies as Christmas party ideas. They are probably one of the least expensive gifts you can make and package. With just a small amount of money, you can stretch the baking ingredients and create dozens of cookies. A holiday cookie platter is a practical gift as many people bake for their families throughout December. A cookie platter can also be passed on with goodies as a new gift. If you work in an office where people frequently take coffee or tea breaks, consider getting instant coffees or teas as gift favors. Hot cocoa also makes a good Christmas party favor. It comes in lovely packaging in a variety of flavors. If you have a business, get chocolate candies or candy bar wrappers with your business’ name and tagline for your guests.

Who doesn’t love pretty Christmas party decorations to jazz up the mood? Whether you love decorative straw, cupcake and cake toppers like these from Etsy shop – Confetti Day, they will be the talk of the party! These pine cone gold and silver straws would be great for New Year’s Eve too.

Christmas Decorations and Motifs to Set the Mood

Motifs that portray Christmas or winter are good holiday party favors. Choose white, green, and red combinations or even silver and blue for an overall winter theme. You can also get ornaments in the shape of snowflakes or reindeer. Your guests can pack these with their decorations and unpack them each holiday season. This way, they won’t require a permanent spot in their home for your gift.

We love the idea of using Christmas invitations as decor at your party too! These festive invitations from Etsy Shop – Lily and Val are whimsical with their chalkboard style and hand drawn appeal. I would place one of these at each place setting of my Christmas dinner party.

I always used to love mixing oatmeal and glitter and sprinkling it for the reindeer on Christmas Eve! Etsy Shop – Ella Jane Crafts did a cute version in these little decorated tubes. What grown or small kid wouldn’t love these?
