Duh -sorry - I got that mixed up. The other recipe said 1.50 tsp for meringue powder which is the same as your 1/2 TBSP. The difference was that recipe called for 1/2 cup more sugar and 1 tsp. more of hot water. Just wondering if anyone knows if that makes a difference.

Sorry -I have another question... I saw another recipe on another site with the same picture of the jute bags. That recipe is the exact same as this one except that one called for 1/2 tsp. of meringue powder, while this one calls for 1 TBSP. Have you actually tried this recipe? Does that 1/2 tsp make a difference?

I'm assuming that this is "INSTANT espresso powder"??? I purchased some Espresso powder from Amazon to make these, but just happened to read one of the reviews (after I got it) that said that this is nothing but powdered espresso grounds, so it will not dissolve and you cannot make espresso from it (It's so fine it will clog up a machine -and it also needs pressure to actually make espresso). It seems that some of what is sold out there is for baking only. If you want it to dissolve and make a drink (and not have espresso dust particles in it), then you have to buy "instant espresso". I'm only assuming that this is meant to be instant -if anyone has any input -let me know!
