The kitchen is one of the busiest rooms in your home. It is where we have the bulk of appliances and furnishings that are used on a daily basis. Having lots of activities and chores routinely done in the kitchen, you can’t help but consume electrical energy and other resources that can waste money and precious Earth’s resources.

Nowadays, choosing green products is beneficial for everyone. This trend makes it possible to save not only on your monthly bills but the environment as well. Aside from using energy efficient appliance, there are several alternatives that you can add to your kitchen to go green.
Use wooden or bamboo-made chopping boards.
This is very simple to explain. Wood and bamboo is organic and when properly sealed, can be a viable option over plastics and synthetic chopping boards. You can also extend the life of your knives as it has a natural flexibility to accommodate the pinch. It is very easy to clean and prevents the spread of bacteria. Have you heard of clay pots? Well, this may sound like a primitive style of cooking but it is still very effective. Clay pot cooking is very popular in Asian cooking because of its natural effect in enhancing the taste of the ingredients in your recipe. Clay pots are kind to the environment and will surely provide a twist in your meal servings at home. Clay pots also are durable for cooking purposes and will not stain like plastics and they retain their heat beautifully.
