It used to be that burlap was associated with potato sack races when you were a child, but not anymore. Today in the green interior design world burlap is not only trendy, but it makes an interior come to life with chic furnishings and decor elements. Burlap can be incorporated into a home in many ways and some examples include a table runner, upholstered chair, lantern, and more. So starts brainstorming on how you can incorporate burlap into your interior and let these ideas guide the way.

Incorporate Just a Hint of Burlap
Burlap can be included in an interior just slightly, resulting in a space that has just the right amount of this material. Consider revamping your shades and placing burlap shades on your lamps instead. Or – add a burlap pillow or two to your sofa and you’ll have an organic look that you adore. Burlap goes well with neutral colors, such as beige and black. But if you have a bright interior burlap here and there might look excellent too.
Go All Out and Upholster a Sofa!
If you’re really into this trendy statement, why not go all out and incorporate a bold and beautiful sofa into your interior? You can choose to either find a brand new burlap sofa or chair or you can upholster an existing chair that’s in need of a makeover. Head over to a store that sells burlap chair covers or have it professionally upholstered. You’ll love the look and will be tempted to add extra décor elements with burlap too.
Don’t Forget About the Bedroom
Upholstering the headboard behind your bed is another great idea. If you have a coral bedroom or have it decorated with another beautiful shade of color, burlap will create an instant eco-chic room. If you are tired of your current headboard and need a change, transforming your space into a burlap heaven might be just what you need.

So don’t be afraid to incorporate burlap in an interior that needs some additional elements. A polished interior can look truly enchanting with an industrial fabric that adds texture and warmth. So what are you waiting for? Walk into an interior in your home that needs revamping and start day dreaming how you can include the perfect amount of burlap.
