Laura what an awesome story! I'm always humbled by those who have found the true meaning of Christmas... I think it may have taken me until this year. My husband always says, you have heat, your family is healthy, food to eat, and a car to drive. Everything else is just fluff! :) Thanks Laura, and have a great holiday!

Ronique, Each year Christmas is less and less about "stuff" We don't have children and haven't seen relatives in over 10 years. Each year we were guessing what to get the 15 distant relatives without ever knowing the outcome. Two years ago I called each Family leader and asked if they would be interested in pooling funds often used for gifts. All agreed and each year we rotate and let that family choose the charity. It is far more gratifying helping others & we keep unwanted gifts out of our homes. Plus, we actually talk more now. Merry Christmas!
