In a few weeks I will be in Los Angeles, California for #BlogTourLA – Oct. 1 – 6th, and each home designer brand that I meet and learn makes it more exciting!

Bathroom design is always a favorite of mine and yours and today I feature Gessi a style-forward Italian bath company. Their innovative and streamlined bath products look like they are straight from a museum of modern art!

They have a few new products and one of my favorite is the Gocci collection of faucets and fixtures. They are revolutionary and sculptural in their design & replicate the essence of a water droplet!

Here’s a few thoughts on the Goccia design origins from Gessi:

“Not only does the Goccia collection re-imagine the look of faucets and fixtures, it also challenges the whole convention of the bathroom as the place for water delivery. Gessi asks, why not a dining table with a convenient, dramatic sink and faucet embedded in it?  Or for that matter, a sculptural freestanding pedestal sink and sweeping floor-mount faucet, like a contemporary lamp, in a living area?

Goccia (the drop) is the natural symbol which reminds us instinctively of saving water.” In fact, all Goccia faucets are equipped with a technology allowing for a 50% water savings without compromising functionality. But Goccia also embraces new ways of delivering water. Besides wall-mount, deck-mount and floor-mount versions, Goccia offers a a dramatic ceiling-mount style in a standard 63-inch length as well as custom sizes.”

The Goccia collection:

The collection also comes in ceramic sink vessels, pedestal and drop-in lavatories and showers.

In addition there is a full line of accessories such as soap dishes, liquid soap dispensers, towel bars and rings, mirrors, tissue holders, and toilet brush holders. Faucets come in chrome, brushed chrome, white, and matte black, all on solid brass. Sinks come in white, black and silver. Showers heads are chrome.

Gessi’s commitment to green sustainability practices

It’s always nice to meet manufacturer’s that care just as much for their employees and environment as they do their products. Gessi has made a commitment to the Earth by practicing green initiatives at their factory in Gessi Park in Italy.

The facility is solar heated, and uses the maximum amount of natural light for worker comfort and environmental responsibility. Almost all the water used in production is recycled and used to water the grounds of Gessi Park.

The high standards to which the Company holds its products and processes also extend to the structure that houses these processes: the factory. A living and working unit, it projects a positive relationship with the natural environment in which it is situated. Indeed, the complex is a valued factor of quality for the company itself.

Gessi is an example of an industrial development that interacts harmoniously with, and is respectful of, its surrounding environment. The ambitious “company-oasis” project, aimed at aesthetically and productively rehabilitating a quarry site with low-impact facilities immersed in a green park area and restoring ancient abandoned buildings, has now become a reality.

This green setting gives rise to “technologically handcrafted” objects, a subtle oxymoron used to express the unique combination of high-tech manufacturing techniques with the wisdom of passionate craft specialists.

Gessi’s Italian flair and commitment to excellence will be welcomed in your bathroom and for years to come!

Take a look at all of their products on their website: Gessi.com for modern kitchens and trends you love to see in your home!
