Of course, a thick duvet or comforter is a must as well; this will not only make your bed warm and welcoming, but it will keep you much more comfortable without cranking up the heat. While you are searching for the perfect comforter, think about splurging on some high-quality flannel sheets for your bed as well – you may not see them when the bed is made, but you will know that they are there waiting for you when you crawl under the covers at night.

Add a fireplace:

Small electric fireplaces are fantastic for almost every room in your home. Not many people think about adding them to a bedroom, but why not? Who doesn’t want a custom-looking fireplace in their bedroom without the pricey install? Those cool nights will certainly be much warmer with the radiant heat of a fireplace! Just remember, electric heat can be more expensive to run, so use it in moderation and ENJOY.

There is nothing worse than hopping out of bed and putting your feet down on a chilly floor.
