Ingredients

1 bone-in smoked ham (10 pound)

2 tbsp of Dijon mustard

⅓ orange, juiced and zested

⅓ cup of pineapple juice

¼ ground cloves

Instructions

Alter your oven racks to hold a big roasting pan. Place a shallow roasting rack on the pan. Preheat your oven to 350⁰

Rinse the ham under water then place it on the rack inside the roasting pan.

Cover it with foil and bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Mix the honey, brown sugar, cloves, pineapple juice, orange zest, orange juice, and Dijon mustard in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat till the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.

Pour the honey glaze over the ham and roast for 1 hour and 40 minutes more. Baste the pork twice with the glaze while it’s still in the roaster. The total roasting time for the ham should be 20 minutes per pound.

Check if the ham is done by inserting a meat thermometer into a meaty spot. If it displays 160⁰F, it’s done.

Leave the ham for 15 minutes before slicing to let the juices set. You can also make it 2 hours in advance, cover with foil, and serve when it cools.

If you’re tired of cooking Turkey, try this Thanksgiving main dish. The glaze is delectable and will blow your guests away. If some is left, mix it with a little flour and pan drippings and make a lovely sauce to go with the meat. You can use the ham and bone drippings to make soup later.

What Thanksgiving recipe sides will you be serving with your ham?

Many Sundays my family and I would go out to eat at delicious breakfast restaurants and I always remember my dad ordering Huevos Rancheros – which is a great mixture of a tortilla, refried beans, fried eggs, salsa and cheese.

Today I found a wonderful Huevos Rancheros recipe but in small hand size tarts! Thanks Betty Crocker for this great recipe.

Perfect Mexican Breakfast: Huevos Rancheros Recipe

[ad#co-1]

Huevos Rancheros Ingredients:

1 8 oz can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves

1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder

1/4 teaspoon kosher (coarse) salt

4 eggs

1 14.5 oz can fire roasted tomatoes, undrained

1/4 cup chopped onion

1 clove garlic, peeled

4 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

1 15 oz can black beans, drained, rinsed

1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco cheese

Avocado slices

Best Breakfast Directions:

1.) Heat oven to 375°F. Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. Separate dough into 4 rectangles on cookie sheet. Firmly press perforations to seal. For each rectangle, roll edges toward center and form a 3 1/2-inch diameter round with a 1/2-inch rim. Press rim firmly to seal.

2.) In small bowl, mix oregano leaves, 1/4 teaspoon of the chipotle chili powder and the salt. Sprinkle over dough rounds. Break 1 egg in center of each dough round. (Egg may run over slightly.)

3.) Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until egg whites and yolks are firm, not runny.

4.) Meanwhile, in blender, place tomatoes, onion, garlic, 2 tablespoons of the cilantro and remaining 1/4 teaspoon chipotle chili powder. Cover; blend until smooth. In 2-quart saucepan, heat tomato mixture over medium-high heat 4 to 5 minutes or until hot.

5.) Remove and reserve 3/4 cup mixture from saucepan; cover to keep warm. Add beans to remaining mixture in saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat 5 minutes, stirring frequently, mashing beans slightly with back of wooden spoon until slightly thickened.

6.) For each serving, place about 1/3 cup bean mixture on plate with egg tart. Serve with reserved sauce, cheese, avocado slices and remaining 2 tablespoons cilantro.

It is always great to begin each day with a bang and you can definitely do that by having the most important meal of the day, breakfast. Breakfast sliders can give you some of the vital nutrition that you would need for the day, depending on how you make it. For this breakfast recipe, we are going to take all of the hot classic favorites and place them together for a grab-in-go breakfast slider. The recipe is quick and simple to make, so let’s get started on this power house breakfast for you and your family to enjoy.

Summer Favorite: Savory Breakfast Sliders

Breakfast Sliders

Image via: Darin Dines

[ad#co-3]

Ingredients

1 canister of pull apart biscuits (In refrigerated aisle) Mini Biscuits

5-6 Strips of Turkey Bacon/Sausage/ or meat of your choice

2 Eggs

1 package of Shredded Cheese

½ Stick of Butter

Salt (To Taste)

Pepper (To Taste)

Direction

*Basically we are going to take the idea of a breakfast sandwich but miniaturize it.

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Then take out the Pillsbury Mini Biscuit package and follow the directions on the package for baking them.

Once you have placed the mini biscuits in the oven, begin cooking the turkey bacon.

Once the turkey bacon have finished cooking, set them aside on a plate.

Now time for the eggs, take the eggs and beat them in a bowl add in salt and pepper to taste.

Then pour beaten eggs into a frying pan.

You can either scramble the mixture and make scramble eggs to place within the sliders, this would take a bit more effort or you can pour the entire mixture into the pan and let one side heat and become firm then flip it to the other side and let that side firm, then cut and fold the egg sheet into smaller sheets for the sliders. (Don’t forget about the biscuits)

Once the biscuits are finished baking take them out of the oven and turn the oven off.

Buttermilk Biscuit Breakfast Sliders with Bacon

Image via: Pinterest- Pinned by: Robert Reyes

For the Assemble of the Breakfast Recipe:

Take one of the biscuits and slice them in half. Take the top halve and set it on the other side of the plate and use the bottom half as the base for the slider, then place a turkey patty on the top of the bottom halve biscuit.

Add a finger full of the shredded cheese onto the top of the turkey sausage then add the egg mixture from earlier to the cheese to help hold it all together, then place the top half of the biscuit on the eggs and voila you now have your breakfast slider.

Repeat the process for all of your sliders and watch and see how your family will enjoy them.

Sliders have always been a great treat for parties and quick snacks. So why not have the same appeal with your breakfast? You don’t have to go with the traditional sausage, egg and cheese but you can also choose perhaps a fruit slider; where you could use crepes or croissants instead of biscuits or even add green and red peppers to the eggs. The choice is yours, so go on and follow the recipe above and see how it works out for you.

Also Stagetecture readers, do you have any other ideas for this breakfast recipe that you would like to share because we would love to hear them?

Image via: Sweet Sensation

Procedure

Preheat the broiler. Whisk the eggs, cream, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper in a medium bowl to blend. Set aside.

Heat the oil and butter in a 9 1/2-inch-diameter nonstick ovenproof skillet over medium heat.

Add the asparagus and sauté until crisp-tender, about 2 minutes. Raise the heat to medium-high.

Add the tomato and a pinch of salt and sauté 2 minutes longer.

Pour the egg mixture over the asparagus mixture and cook for a few minutes until the eggs start to set.

Sprinkle with cheese. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until the frittata is almost set but the top is still runny, about 2 minutes. Place the skillet under the broiler.

Broil until the top is set and golden brown on top, about 5 minutes. Let the frittata stand 2 minutes. Using a rubber spatula, loosen the frittata from skillet and slide the frittata onto a plate.

Feel free to adjust the taste according to your preference. For instance, you can add pepper and spice if you want it hot. You can also use cheese instead of Fontina, if you like. The whole recipe can serve up to six persons.
