Paint the Front Door

Front door is a big part of the porch. A messed up door can bring down the look of the front porch. Sand down the door to make it look better. After that, paint it to match the rest of the porch. Choose a color that matches or at least, complements to the color of the rest of the house. Otherwise, the door will become an eye sore instead of a fine mix of the colors in the porch. You can also use a strong, bold color that makes a statement. In a word, the door color should be inviting that gives visitors a warm welcome.

Place Hanging Plants & Flowers

Except painting, colors can also be brought to the porch through hanging plants. They will bring a splash of color to your porch and make it look great. Cream, beige, or robin egg blue are the common colors used for porch ceilings and entryways but bright colors like sunflower yellow, olive green, tangerine, cobble stone grey, and terra cotta can be fantastic choices for painting these spots. Painting both the areas with the same color can create an interesting look.

Go for Floral Design

Instead of painting with plain colors, you can use floral designs on the front railing of the porch. You can either hire an artist or add the artwork by yourself.
