Spring being a season of fresh new blooms offers a variety of flowers to choose from. Make sure the flowers are seasonal and their colors complement the overall decor. Spring weddings can made an affair to remember if one goes with what nature points at. Candles, I feel add to the delicacy and charm. They are a must for any wedding. Supplement the flowers and candles with fine crockery, sparkling silverware and little name placards. This simple yet stunning table layout is going to make your wedding an affair to remember.

Use Vintage Props

Theme ‘Vintage’ is an evergreen one. In combination with theme ‘Spring’ it can add a magical touch to your table layout. I would suggest old vintage framed placards, some vintage tea cups, delicate flowers and classy crockery to be a part of this table layout. Spring weddings respond very well to vintage themes since floral motifs are a big hit in both these themes. You could seriously consider going vintage!

Adopt A Soft Pastel Table Theme

Pastel shades reflect the mood of spring very well. Why not adopt a pastel theme for the table layout. Match the table linen to the pastel color of your choice, use complementing flowers and accessorize the layout with soft, delicate laces and beads. You could use the lace to tie the napkins and the beads could be used to accessorize the flower arrangements.

Going Rustic

Rustic is another theme that could suit a spring wedding table layout. Rustic has a lot to do with wood and so do flowers. You could arrange for rustic wooden tables as a base. Leave a part of the table exposed for that rustic look and make flower arrangements on the central runner.

Bring In Fresh Fruit

You could take the rustic setup a step further and use wooden crates to hold your flower decorations. Some wooden crates may also be used to carry seasonal fruits. The fruits will add color to the already interesting layout and add a nice casual feel to the whole table layout. Also when you arrange the plates, you can place a small take away on the plates. That way the guests will remember your wedding for a long time.

Conversation Hearts and Tulips

One of the most quintessential Valentine’s Day candies are the conversation hearts. And creating a centerpiece with these hearts is quick, easy, and does not require any crafting skills at all. Simply take a glass vase and fill it with pastel colored tulips followed by the conversation hearts. But make sure to create it right before the dinner as it won’t last for long because there is no water in the vase. Alternatively, you can use artificial tulips.

Sentimental Centerpiece

A collection of items from the past can be used to make a sentimental and decorative centerpiece. Use a large decorative frame and prop it on the table. Fill it with past Valentine’s Day gifts, black and white photos, and aged love letters. Dried flowers can also be added for enhanced effect. Complete the centerpiece by sprinkling fresh flower petals around the frame or putting two tall, decorative, scented candles on either side of the frame.

Wine Glass Candle Centerpieces

While candles are great for any occasion, they are just perfect for Valentine’s Day centerpiece. Apart from being a piece of table decor, they can serve a dual purpose when it comes to candle light dinner. But instead of displaying them the usual way, why not make it a little different to fit the theme? Depending on the size of the table, take 3 to 5 wine glasses and turn them upside down over a beautiful rose bloom or a flower of your choice. Place a candle on the top to finish the centerpiece.

Table Decor: Centerpiece Ideas for Your Winter Home

Pinecone Centerpiece

Whip up your gold, silver or white spray paint and cover a wreath or a few medium sized pine cones with a quick coat. Either place the coated pine cones around a candle or hot glue them to a wreath and place a candle with the holder in the center.

Colorful Seasonal Fruit Bowl

Fill a glass bowl with variety of fruits for a modern winter centerpiece. In a tall, clear glass vase put alternating layers of seasonal fruits such as crab apples, pears, fresh cranberries, and more. Make sure to put some cold water to keep the fruits from going brown. If you are throwing a winter party, add some gold glass beads into the same centerpiece to add in some sparkle factor.

White Flowers

When it comes to table decor, a simple vase of flowers is a popular choice throughout the year. While bright colors like yellow, orange, and pink don’t exactly suggest winter, white flowers like peonies and garden roses reminds us of snow and thus make for perfect winter centerpieces. Winter Branch Centerpiece

Get several long branches and spray paint them with silver or white. Put them in a clear tall vase along with acrylic ice chips, stones, and clear pebbles. Now string a small set of batter operated white lights all over the branches. Finish the look with a white or a silver colored ribbon bow tied around the top of the vase. For some added warmth, you can also place few votive candles around the winter branch centerpiece.

Materials needed

• 1 pc. Guord (you can use squash as an alternative)
• Serrated knife
• Spoon
• Autumn leaves, chrysanthemums, and berries

Fall DIY Planter – Procedure

1. Using a serrated knife, cut the top portion of your gourd or squash forming a circle. Make the circle about 3 inches in diameter. Always take extra precaution when using a knife. Gourd and squash differ in their firmness – one may be harder than the other.
2. Scoop out the pulp and seeds inside. You can easily do this using a spoon. Do this slowly and carefully to avoid damaging your gourd or squash. Don’t apply too much force but just enough to empty the space inside. Take your time in doing this step.
3. Fill in your foliages and flowers. Make use of autumn leaves to hold the foliages and flowers together. Don’t think of doing this in just one try. Use your creativity and do some trial and error settings. It is best if you can take a picture for each trial and then compare the results. Choose the one that captures your attention.

Another simple yet effective idea for table decor is to decorate with pine cones. The rich brown color provides a contrast to the deep oranges, greens and rusts. Candles are a great way to add warmth to your fall tablescape. Instead of buying expensive scented candles, you can create these are home. Cover your non- scented candle with cinnamon sticks. Tie a jute twine or ribbon to hold these together. You can also place coffee beans in a small glass container and then add a tea-light to it. When the candles burn, they will give off the aroma of cinnamon and coffee.

‘Decorating with Natural Fall Elements ’ –  Xiomara Zayas

Who doesn’t fall in love with the autumn when it begins to show its spectacular natural beauty and its countless elements. It’s autumnal fragrances, amazing trees, lovely leaves in various colors and hues all abounded around us; dream and imagine part of that splendiferous nature in your living space.

If you are a lover of nature, immerse yourself in the inspiration that autumn brings. Express your creativity and bring in some natural autumnal touches to your space with those elements that reflect your personality.

Bringing Nature into your Interiors this Fall

Look around your home, you may already have some of these elements on which you can enhance. Wooden furniture,ceilings or wood floors can be  accentuated with other autumnal ornaments and make the most of them. You can leave the windows undressed in specific areas so as to allow the natural  light to flood the room and to have a clear view of the forever changing colours of autumn.

Collect branches!!!, they are fabulous. There are a thousand ways to incorporate these into your décor on the walls and in table arrangements. A large branch adorned with leaves and spices hanging from the ceiling with candles makes a great centrepiece. The best thing about branches is that they are excellent for any season of the year and their leaves are incredibly decorative especially by their rich colors.  You can create unique ornaments using pine cones, dried flowers and gourds in assorted colors which provide a mix of textures and don’t forget to include some elements of forest deer and birds to your displays.

The fruits harvested of this season and spices such as cinnamon, cloves and anise are a tremendous option for the autumn décor.
