Materials
- A glass container with a wide opening (the wide opening prevents moisture buildup).
- Gravel
- Fertilizer
- Cactus mix soil
- Sand (optional)
- Straw (optional)
- Succulents (you can get different ones)
- Garden ornaments or accents like river rocks or iron birds (optional)
- Place gravel on the bottom part of the container: a 2-inch layer. The gravel provides drainage.
- Place the soil on top of the gravel. Cactus mix soil is recommended because it drains fast and retains little moisture.
- Place the succulents on top of the soil and ensure their roots are firmly embedded in the soil.
- You can add a layer of sand for decoration then use a straw to blow into the container to create windswept bluffs.
