When thinking of fencing, the usual PVC or wood slat, and barb wire varieties come to mind. Although, there is a huge market for architectural fencing. I may have given it the term ‘architectural’. I believe once design and aesthetics have been added to the product – it’s instantly architectural. Look at this manufacturer that produces decorative fencing that is gorgeous and deters unwanted visitors.
The Dutch design team Demakersvan designed this beautiful concept called Lace Fence. Featured on DeZeen.com is a chain link fence that incorporates strength and beauty in one beautiful fence.
It started production in January, 2007 in India. Designed as a graduation project by Demakersvan’s Joep Verhoeven, this fence is an ingenious concept.
I’m sure this product was designed for commercial use, as seen in the park image below. Although, I can see this as a beautiful application in residential neighborhood playgrounds, and homes that don’t want an obstructed view.
Innovative design is all around us. It’s wonderful to see everyday products being designed for safety, without sacrificing beauty! For more innovations visit, Demakersvan .
Are you thinking that this pattern would be a great inspiration for wallpaper? It is! Scandinavian Design Center
