DIY Holiday Kids’ Crafts: Gum Ball Bracelet

Entry #3087, December 10, 2013

The holidays are the best time to make holiday crafts especially with your children. Kids bring life to the party unconsciously when they play around with each other and do some random acts. Although they may be unruly and moody at times but these moments can still bring great memories for everyone.

With kids in the party, it’s just appropriate to provide them with party giveaways that will capture their attention. One of the popular party ideas for kids is the gum ball bracelet. This isn’t only fashionable but also edible. This is an easy and quick craft that you can do to pump up the energy of the kids.

Procedure

  1. Prepare all the materials needed. Remember to wash your hands before starting. Keep your hands dry by using the clean towel.
  2. Insert the string into the hole of your needle. Then, start sewing the gumball one by one. It is important that you will pin down the middle of the gumball so it will look neat and orderly. You can play with the colors or have them in random. Also, if you are particular with your color motif, it will still look good in single-color lineup.
  3. The average length of your bracelet is around 7 to 10 gumballs. After deciding on the number of gumballs, cut the string about 4 inches from both ends of the gumballs. This length should be enough to tie a knot and secure the gumballs. It is best if you can do a double knot for a reliable hold.

That’s how easy to make this DIY holiday party craft for kids. Of course, don’t forget the excitement of the kids to chew this delicious party craft. It’s a party essential that you shouldn’t miss. What holiday kids’ crafts will you make this year?
