Fly Smarter
We know that air travel is perhaps the only way to reach certain destinations, but as a matter of fact, it is considered the highest tourism contributor to global warming. So, to do your bit, try to book direct flights whenever possible. A significant percentage of plane’s fuel consumption happens during landing and takeoff.

Unplug it
When you enter your hotel room, unplug as many appliances as possible as they consume energy even when not in use. Three lamps? Unplug two. Mini fridge? Unplug unless you brought perishables. Similarly, when you head out, be sure to switch off all the lights and fans as approximately 5-10% of energy is consumed by lighting alone. Simple isn’t it?
Shop Locally

No matter where you travel, support the local community. Purchase goods from local vendors. Products that have been flown or shipped from overseas are a waste of energy and resources. However, don’t buy souvenirs made from endangered animals or plant products.
