The plastic storage bins you have at home are one of the best organizers you can depend on. It is where you can stack and keep all your things in order for better storage. With proper storage, you can be sure of quick and easy recovery and will prolong the life of your things at home.

But how about organizing your organizers? Organizing your storage bins in such a way that it is easy to pull out and will not occupy a single space on the floor is always a great idea. This will not only save you space but also provide a beautiful spot at home.

Here’s how to do this DIY garage bin organizer for your home:

Materials Needed

• Wood
  • 2 pcs. at size 1” X 5” X 60” – Wood A
  • 2 pcs. at size 1” X 3” X 60” – Wood B
  • 2 pcs. at size 2” X 4” X 60” – Wood C

NOTE: Wood sizes may vary according to the dimension of your plastic storage bins. The above mentioned storage is good for 2’ X 3’ X 1.5’ bins.

• Nail at size 2“ – 3”
• Hammer
• Sandpaper (#1000)
• Steel tape measure
• Pencil / marker
• Ripsaw
• Right angle bar
• Paint – optional

Directions

1. Measure the width or length of your plastic storage bins. This depends on how you want your storage bins to look like on top. Don’t use the full length or width rather exclude the part of the bin cover. This will serve as the support to hold the plastic storage bins.
2. Attached wood A, B, and C together. Where wood C will be placed at the middle of wood A and B. Nail the three woods properly to ensure its durability. Do this step with the other wood.
3. If you want to apply paint color, you may do so. Let it dry for a few hours.
4. After joining wood A, B and C, mark your ceiling accurately using the right angle tool and pencil where you intend to place your storage bins.

Slide your storage bins in between the wood slats and you’re done. This DIY project will be add space to your garage and enable you to know exactly where you put your household items.
