Materials

  • Modge Podge
  • Sponge paintbrush
  • Multicolored pastel yarn
  • Several 12-inch balloons

Directions

  1. Blow up your balloons till they are 6 inches tall and make knots. They will have a faint egg shape because they are empty inside.
  2. Tie a small piece of the yarn to the balloon knot to secure it. Wrap the yarn around the balloon any way you like. When you are happy with your design, cut the string and place it under another piece on the balloon.
  3. Repeat the same process on the other balloons. As you wrap the balloons, the yarn will look like a jumbled mess but don’t fret, it will look great afterwards.
  4. Dip your sponge in the Modge Podge and dab it on the yarn covering the balloons. Make sure you cover every string with Modge Podge. If you are making this fun Easter craft with kids, be careful when using Modge Podge.
  5. Leave the balloons to dry for about one day. The yarn needs to be completely dry before you pop the balloons or it will lose its egg shape.
  6. After you make sure the Modge Podge is dry, pop the balloons.
  7. Weave a string through your garland and hang it.

It is simple and will brighten up your home during the Easter season. If you love DIY decorations, you will be blown away by this one. Additionally, your guests will be impressed and will ask for tips on how to make it.

Which fun craft are you making this Easter?
