Face painting.  This activity is a great and simple craft that involves all.  The kids get pure enjoyment from having a really neat design drawn on their faces plus the adults can participate in it as well. Just go to the nearest craft store and purchase a face paint kit and stencils then go to work on your canvas (face).

You can’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day without the shamrock art of some sort.  How about shamrock decorative wall art?  Just cut different sizes of the shamrock leaves from green construction paper along with the stems and begin to tape the pieces to form 4-leaf shamrocks on the walls. For pizazz add green glitter to the edges and inside of the leaves before putting them on the wall. Then you are able to create a shimmering shamrock.

Ever wanted to be a leprechaun? Well for this activity you just might be able to accomplish this task.  Take a small mirror that is about 4-5 inches wide to be used as your base.  Purchase yellow, green, orange, and black craft foam.  Measure out the yellow foam to the exact size of the small mirror and cut a hole in the middle of it then hot glue it to the mirror.  Next, cut the hat and shamrock out of the green foam, the hat lining out of the black foam and the hair pieces out of the orange foam.  Hot glue the beard to the bottom of the hole, the hair to the top of the hole, the hat onto the top of the hole after the hair, the hat lining onto the middle of the hat, lastly hot glue the shamrock onto the hat.  Hang it some where in your home where everyone can see and become the leprechaun within.

St. Patrick’s Day center pieces are great focal point table toppers for an St. Patrick’s Day party! Now what you can do is get some medium sized vases and paint them green or white.  If you would like to, purchase shamrock stamps with green ink and begin to stamp the design on the vases.  Next, get some green pipe cleaner and glue it behind different shades of green construction paper cut into the shamrock shapes.  Then put the flower like creations into the dried vases and place on the table however you like.

What’s St. Patrick’s Day without the pot of ye’ lucky gold? Get a small clay flower pot and paint it all black.  Set it aside for it to dry. Once the pot dries then purchase pipe cleaners that have the same colors as the rainbow then hot glue the ends of each pipe cleaner to the opposite sides of the middle of the rim of the pot.  Purchase or make shredded grass from green construction paper and put it in the pot and top it off with golden wrapped chocolate eggs or coins. There you have your own pot o’ gold.

St. Patty’s Day is always such a joyous and memorable occasion.  Have fun with decorating for it completely, let these ideas and more help you to create the best St. Patrick’s Day!
