Throwing a summer party for kids doesn’t have to be a chore. You can have lots of fun as you plan for the special day. Pick a Theme

A kids’ party should have a theme. You can make it a Mexican festival, a luau, a beach blast, or a Disney theme. If you have a pool, you can pick a Little Mermaid theme. Choosing a theme makes your party decisions easy. You are able to pick out other things like decorations and invitations easily.

Send out Invitations

Your invitations should match your theme. If you’ve chosen a beach theme, send out invitations shaped like sea creatures. For a Disney theme, choose invitations with Disney characters. Ask the kids you’ve invited to bring a swimsuit and a towel if you have a pool.

You can buy party invitations at a party store or make them yourself. Making invitations has many advantages: It is a fun activity to do with your kids and gets them involved in the party preparations. It also helps you to save a little money. You can browse the internet for party-invitation ideas.

Choose the Decorations

Use colorful balloons and streamers to give your outdoor space a festive air. Put up some inflatable palm trees for a tropical theme and add Disney characters for a Disney theme. For a beach theme, add beach umbrellas, beach balls, and sand pails. Also choose a striking item for the table centerpiece.

Serve Handheld Snacks

Kids love to play whether they are indoors or out. Serve snacks they can quickly grab and continue with their games. These include twister turkey kabobs, cheese and fruit kabobs, cheesy pretzel dippers, finger gelatins, corn on the cob, hotdogs, ice cream, watermelons, and BLT wraps. If you’re throwing a birthday party, be sure to include mini cupcakes which are perfect for little hands. Don’t forget mini water bottles and beverages for the mums and dads at the party.
