1. Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter egg is a symbolic representation of new life, as an egg bears life in it as well. Colorful Easter eggs are a significant of joy for everyone who has faith in the spirit of Easter. An interesting way to celebrate Easter is to organize an Egg Hunt for the children. Buy small colorful plastic eggs from the market and put small toys, candies and coins in them. Then hide them all around the house. When the children wake up, give them baskets and they can set out on their Egg Hunt all over the house and make their own Easter basket.

Interesting ideas to hide things in the Easter eggs are:

  • Candies
  • Colorful Jellybeans
  • Money in small denominations
  • Gift coupons
  • Coupons for getting out of chores

2. Easter Feast

Plan an Easter feast and invite all your family and friends over. You can even make it a costume party and ask your guests to dress up as rabbits. Prepare a whole feast of roast meat and vegetables. People prefer lamb at this time of the year because it signifies the spring season.

Turn it into a one dish party by asking your guests to bring one dish each. That way it won’t be a burden on you and you can also enjoy the holiday instead of slaving in the kitchen all day. Easter is a time of celebration so share the joy and ask your friends for the same.

3. Plant a tree

Celebrate the spirit of Easter by planting a tree in your backyard or the community park. Easter is a time for celebrating new beginnings and new life as the spring season unfolds. So give new life to mother earth and plant a tree.

4. Go to an Easter Festival

There are Easter festivals held in almost every community. So visit the Easter festival in your community with your family. Meet with your neighbors and friends. Enjoy Easter by celebrating it with your community. Some communities also organize a large Egg Hunt. You might also enjoy participation in that.

5. Make Easter Gift Baskets

Easter gift baskets truly signify this holiday. Instead of buying pre-made Easter baskets, make them at home this year with your family. It is not only a fun activity to do, the personal touch to the baskets is appreciated by everyone. On top of that you save a lot of money by doing this yourself.

Aside from buying Easter chocolate hampers, Easter requires a bit of preparation. Based on his experiences, Allan shares his tips to make your Easter celebration, a memorable one.
