Guest Blogger – Best Places to Travel this Spring 2011

Guest Blog #55, Entry #470, April 6, 2011

Whether you are getting ready to go on Spring Break or you are wanting to get away from your home during the spring months, traveling at anytime of year is rewarding. If you decide to stay in your own geographic area, or you decide to venture to new countries, here are ideas for the Best Places to Travel this Spring.

Italy

Your Spring travels can be right around the corner

Today, my Guest Blogger, Anthony Wells, writer for The Door Store Online specialists in kitchen doors, joins Stagetecture from ‘My Blog Guest”. I’m always excited for new contributors to give Stagetecture reader’s useful information! I’m ready to travel worldwide after reading this list!

Spring holidays are but weeks away and you’ve already started looking around for the most suitable places to go to soak up the sun and relax. The choice isn’t always easy as there are so many places to go, things to see and do that you get caught up in the details, instead of the overall aim: to have a good time.

Valencia, Spain

The first place that you should consider is Valencia in Spain. It has been voted the top destination for a summer holiday for 2011. Valencia is rich with history and culture and the streets hold a unique charm to travelers of all ages.

Festivals

If you want to do a little more than just relax, there are also festivals to enjoy. One of these festivals is the Festival in Ascoli Piceno, Italy: Medieval Parade and Joust. The inhabitants of Ascoli parade through the streets wearing clothing from the 15th century. Then there are the brave men who parade on their horses and engage in traditional jousting. Afterwards you can join the feasting and celebrations with the citizens and watch the beautiful fireworks displays.

Warm Destinations

Alternatively you could opt for a warm and relaxing beach holiday. If the beaches in the UK are overflowing with holiday makers, you can always fly out to the French Riviera and enjoy their friendly beaches and the lovely sun-soaked days it has to offer. Other beaches that are quite popular summer holiday destinations are: Capri and Ischia, Santorini Island and Dubrovnik in Croatia. All of these spots are some of the best places to travel to this summer and you will find the rest and relaxation that you need here.

Ireland

Another option for an interesting holiday is to travel through Ireland on a horse-drawn caravan. Enjoy this Irish holiday in the style of a gypsy. You will see the beautiful Irish countryside and enjoy the fresh air while ambling along at the horse’s own pace. You can stop wherever you want and explore as much as you want.

Europe

Of course you can also take your Eurorail ticket and travel through Europe, stopping off at interesting places, exploring the nightlife in Italy, enjoying the hospitality of the Spanish and the Portuguese, going on a shopping spree in Paris and so many other things that you can do.

The above places are only some of the best places to travel to this spring. There are also prime destinations with lots of adventure and sightseeing in the USA, India and Africa. Those holidays are, however, a little more expensive than a UK or Europe holiday would be, but still worth every minute that you spend on it. You can also opt for some cruises and guided tours that will lessen your need for planning and preparation – all that will be done for you.

If you have a family, there are many options for family holidays as well. Many of the above holidays are family friendly.
