If you’re like the majority of people, you are trying to bring spring into your home anyway you can. Whether it is buying fresh flowers to brighten up your room, or putting spring inspired bedding onto your bed, spring fever has officially hit you!

While adding spring colors and inspiration can boost your spirits and your home environment, have you ever thought of using mirrors to brighten your spring home? Today, my guest blogger, Jayne Hughes from Pebble Grey gives you great ideas for mirror decor in your home. The wonderful part of mirrors? They are enlarge your space, reflect light, and they are functional too, the ultimate decorative accessory for your h0me interiors.

See the Light with a New Mirror

I love spring, everything seems possible, the flowers are blooming, the smell of dirt resides in the air and life’s alive in everything. While the elation of spring thrives outdoors getting the same aura indoors can be very tricky, capturing that light and bringing it indoors is the key.

While they’re already lots of interior design tips out there on the subject, I’m going to be focusing on one design element which in my opinion can make the biggest impact and that is wall mirrors. Mirrors do not only brighten up your living space but make the space feel a whole lot larger. The addition of an illuminated mirror or mirrors can be an amazing way to transfer your indoor environment from ordinary to extraordinary. While the aesthetic advantages of mirrors is easy to comprehend, the functional and emotional advantages are sometimes less easier to appreciate.

Regardless of the size you’re working with whether it’s a box room, grand palladium or your run-of-the-mill living room a mirror can do miracles to liven up your décor just like a piece of art. Mirrors usually come in five basic shapes rectangle, square, elliptical, circular and asymmetrical; any of these shapes can brighten up your room, albeit some are better suited to certain types of styles.

Brighten your spring interiors with mirrors

The sole purpose of any mirror is to reflect light and hence create an image, multiplying this effect can do wonders for the light created within a particular environment. You can create dazzling and intricate groupings using wall mirrors by joining several mirrors together or with other design elements such as art, ornaments and floral decorations.

Perhaps the most imperative design element to consider when purchasing a mirror is the frame. The frame of the mirror helps set it apart from all the others and helps place it with a specific style such as modern or conventional. Making sure the frame is coherent with the rest of your décor is important. Another great tip is to plan the placement of your mirror or mirrors prior to purchasing them, you should know exactly where each mirror fits on your wall.

When brightening up your home you have to stick to what suits you and by trying any of these techniques you can completely transform your home to give it a brand new look to match the brand new you.

When resurrecting your home it’s important to stick to your true values, by simply adding a mirror you can completely transform your living space to give it a bright new look and remember a luminous home means a joyful and hopeful you!

It’s amazing the difference they can make to peoples lives, the reflection can often make people feel a lot happier, the bigger the better in my opinion.

I’ve had a lot of feedback from people saying they didn’t realise how much of a difference it would make just by having a mirror in their room. I love the mirror with all the vines
