Swimming pools become a focal point of a beautiful landscape. The landscape around the pool can add or subtract from the overall effect. Trees that are often too large or messy can make maintenance difficult, but evergreen plants and trees minimize the amount of leaf dropping into the pool. Plants help pools blend in with the natural environment and can make the area more inviting. Some potted plants like zinnias hold their petals and the leaves stay on for a long time.
Similarly, candles and even pillows on your patio furniture can create a warm, inviting space. Water features such as waterfalls are often incorporated into the landscape of a pool providing a natural look that is also soothing to your ears. If the landscape around your pool is open, concrete squares can form paths to the pool from exits of your house creating a more unified look throughout your yard.

Pathway lights come in many different colors and shapes, and solar-powered lighting will lessen the electric bill and easily be installed.
