Different Types of Chandeliers

There are a few different types of chandeliers, and one that is worth mentioning is the crystal, or glass chandelier. This is the most common design and it looks stunning in a dining room or bedroom. The beautiful crystals hang down from the light and forms gorgeous lighting that makes a room look glam and alive with personality. Another style is the mission chandelier, which is designed with straight edges and made for more of a modern interior. You may even come across a chandelier made with antlers, which works well in rugged home interiors.

Appropriate Spacing for Chandeliers

Chandeliers need the correct amount of spacing in an interior to be truly appreciated. For example, a large chandelier should most likely be the only lighting on your ceiling simply because it’s such a large design piece and it needs space so that it’s viewed well. A smaller chandelier can be positioned in a smaller space, such as a bedroom or a bathroom. If placed in a dining room a chandelier looks better placed on the ceiling where it will be viewed as of the table, verses the middle of the ceiling. Providing a chandelier ample space in a stylish room creates an interior that you will adore.

What’s Your Theme?

Plan a theme around your chandelier or plan an interior around your chandelier to make the look come together. Elaborate chandeliers complement a feminine interior, like a bathroom or gorgeous bedroom. The crystal drops look stunning paired against a shabby chic appearance or neutral surroundings. Chandeliers with a minimalist design look better in a modern setting where the style blends into the contemporary decorations.

Chandeliers are a wonderful element to incorporate into your home. Whether you choose a chandelier with multiple tiers or a small chandelier that’s turquoise or comes in another fun color, it’s yours to implement and use to transform a space. Make the room come alive with an elegant chandelier that will shine.
