Learn To Love Your Organized Home

The first step to accomplishing any great goal is to get organized, but this isn’t always easy. In fact, getting organized is often the hardest part.  We all have excuses for not getting organized.

Getting organized in any area of our lives is an obstacle that stands between ourselves and what we truly want to accomplish with our ideas, our visions, and our work.  It doesn’t have to be an obstacle though‑- you need to become friends with your system of organizing so that it isn’t a daunting obstacle that stands between you and what you want to be doing with your physical and mental energy.  It’s time to make organization a part of the vision itself.

Instead of viewing the organizing process as something that needs to be done, think of it as the first step toward your vision. When you allow organizing to be part of your creative process, it becomes a self-sustaining aid in all of your endeavors.  A good organization system is like the best assistant you’ve ever had—it’s set up to encourage and create convenience for meeting your specific needs.  You know best what you need most, so having that in mind while creating your organization system will make your life that much easier.

Make sure you give yourself the right tools as well, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Even something as simple as a portable filing cabinets or closet organizers can help you save hours spent looking for everyday items that you could be spending on your creative side-project.

Have some fun while you’re at it! Try color-coding or decorating. See how well you can marry beauty and utility so you’ll actually enjoy looking at your organization system. Just remember: for every hour you spend organizing, you’ll get at least another three to spend doing the things you truly love in life!
