Guest Blogger: What does Your Bathroom Mirror Say About You?

Guest Blog #60, Entry #495, April 14, 2011

When you stumble out of bed in the morning and look at yourself in the mirror, are you pleased with how the mirror looks? Not necessarily at you – but as an accessory to the bathroom? If you are tired of looking at a dull and lifeless mirror, and think a modern minimalistic mirror is your style, take a look at my Guest Blogger, Jayne Hughes from Pebble Gray, informative post.

What exactly does a person want from a bathroom mirror, we all know its central purpose is to form images by reflecting light. But mirrors unlike silver, gold and other minerals are not a commodity, similar to cars, mobile phones and property you get what you pay for.

How a mirror makes you feel is important and when you consider that in some instances this will be your first port of call it’s even more important. If your bathroom mirror is tattered and aged this will undoubtedly reflect on to you. On the other hand if your bathroom mirror is crisp, clean and modern these qualities will be replicated in your persona.

While most people consider their bathroom a comfortable, tranquil and secluded environment where they can do as they please, elements within that space say a lot about a person.

Below I take a look at several different types of mirrors to discover how these indirectly reveal an individual’s character.

Infinity Mirrors

The infinity mirror is an ultra-modern bathroom mirror, containing strands of light which appear to repeat forever. Very popular with young professional city-goers looking to complement their sleek modern city centre apartment.

Typical characteristics:

  • Contemporary
  • Hygienic
  • Flamboyant
  • Exhibitionist

backgrounds and sexes.

  • Fresh
  • Compassionate
  • Understated
  • Optimistic

LED bathroom mirror cabinets not only look great but are practical as well. Adjustable shelves and shaving sockets are just some of practical solutions usually included within modern bathroom mirror cabinets.

Typical characteristics:

  • Practical
  • Organised
  • Direct
  • Refined

Beyond any doubt your bathroom is a very telling place; studies have revealed that up to 83% of visitors to your home will judge you by your bathroom. It’s not rocket science to get your bathroom smelling and looking at its best, but to give it that wow factor treat yourself to a new mirror.

Put your best face forward and you’ll never regret it.
