With Halloween almost around the corner and everyone setting up their Spook-Tactular scenes for the holiday, here is another idea for you to use to start off your Halloween morning. You got it! Halloween Pumpkin Pancakes with Spider Web Syrup Recipe will be a great trick or treat for you and your kids to enjoy on your gruesome day! Not only is the recipe simple and quick to make but with the cinnamon spices and sweet chocolate tastes combined it will definitely make you scream for more. So go ahead and try out this recipe if you dare!
Halloween Pumpkin Pancakes with Spider Web Syrup

Ingredients
Pancakes
2 1/3 cups of Original Bisquick mix
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups of Milk
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
1/3 cup of Canned Pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
½ teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
2 tablespoons of Granulated Sugar
1 teaspoon of Pumpkin Pie Spice
Pinch of Nutmeg
Red, Yellow or Orange Food Color
Syrup
½ cup of Granulated Sugar
2 tablespoons of Gold Medal unbleached All-Purpose Flour
½ cup of Packaged Light Brown Sugar
2 teaspoons of Ground Cinnamon
1cup of Water
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
Black Food Coloring
Spider Webs
- 1 container Ready-To-Spread Chocolate Frosting

Directions
Syrup
- Take out a 1-quart saucepan and begin to mix and boil the ingredients for the syrup make sure to stir constantly. While stirring, slowly add enough black food coloring to give the mixture the complete black color.
- Keep stirring until the mixture thickens after it has become thick then remove from the heat and set the pan aside.
Pancakes
- Stir together, in a large bowl, the ingredients for the pancake batter until they are thoroughly combined. (The choice is yours on which colors you decide to use for the pancake coloring)
- Brush your griddle or skillet with vegetable oil or cooking spray. And set the heat over a medium-low heat.
- Begin to spoon batter onto the heated skillet or griddle and cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side of the pancakes.
Spider web Frosting
- Put chocolate frosting into a decorating bag fitted with a small round tip.
Final Assembly
- Place the firm pancakes on a separate plate for decorating. Take one pancake and begin to draw a spider web and/or spider onto the face of the cake. Then put aside to let the frosting set.
- Repeat this process until all pancakes have been covered. Then serve the covered pancakes with drizzles of the blackened syrup and enjoy!
