Holiday DIY Wedding Ideas: Winter Wedding Favors

Entry #3001, November 9, 2013

The tradition of giving winter wedding favors dates back to 16th century England. Couples would give “love knots” constructed from lace and ribbon to each of their guests to represent their bond of love. Since then, the scope of wedding favors has certainly widened, but the sentiment of wanting to share your love with family and friends has remains the same. Below are three easy winter wedding favors to help you embrace the season.

Holiday DIY Wedding Ideas: Winter Wedding Favors

Hot Cocoa Mix:

Hot cocoa mix is a festive favor to warm up your winter wedding. Not to mention that they can be assembled just a few simple steps. Layer hot coca mix, mini marshmallows, and peppermints inside empty mason jars. Then, label each jar with your names and wedding date.  If your wedding is adults-only, feel free to throw a nip of Bailys or Kahlua in there for an extra hit of good cheer.
