How to Creatively Organize Your Craft Room

Entry #1332, June 23, 2012

A craft room is expected to be messy and cluttered. It is a place where you have space, tools, and equipment you need to do your crafts and enjoy sharing a piece of yourself with the world.. However, your efficiency and effectiveness in demonstrating your expertise may be disrupted with a disorganized craft room.

Conducive surroundings affect your performance. This is true when you are working in your craft room. The working ambiance and convenience that your craft room provides is essential in achieving a room that is productive and enjoyable to work in. To help you organize your craft room, here are some creative ideas:

Display your materials and supplies artistically in a picture frame.

If you have laces, threads, ribbons and similar materials, you can place them in a frame. You can do this by placing a detachable barbecue stick and hook it horizontally to hold your supplies and materials. This can be very attractive since materials like laces and ribbons come in different colors and styles that are very pleasing to the eyes.

Use painted glass jars to hold your paintbrushes, pencils and markers.

This is an eco-friendly idea that you can use to organize your craft room. You can use empty coffee or sandwich glass containers for this idea. You just need to paint it with colors that complement your theme in the room. We use glass containers because its weight can hold of the materials you intend to fill in.  You may use plastic containers provided you will place something inside like a rock or cement to stand still even when several markers or pencils are placed.

Take on your old ladle to hold your supplies and materials.

This is really an unconventional idea. It is a creative way to display your materials. To do this, screw in the tip of the handle against the wall and carefully bend it to provide a gorgeous curve. You can arrange in straight path or have it done randomly.
