Traveling to Europe is a dream for many. Whether solo, in a group, or as a couple, you are bound to have a wonderful, lasting experience. Known for its beautiful towns, impressive history, easy transportation, and, lively nightlife, Europe in indeed one of the most popular travel destinations.
While the dream is great, challenging exchange rate is enough to put many off in fear. Does that mean you can’t travel to Europe on a budget? Well, the good news you can, all you need is some planning and research.

Online Research
The first and most important step to save money when travelling through Europe is self-research. Zero down on the countries, cities, and, attractions you wish to visit by browsing through popular travel websites such as, Lonely Planet, TripAdvisor, and, more. These websites offer guides and reviews from real people who have already been there. You can expect a wealth of information on things like budget accommodations, best places to eat, shopping, sightseeing, and, currency exchange rate. You can also look for all inclusive tour packages.
Welcome Card

For a single affordable price tag, most European cities offer a welcome card or a tourist pass. These passes include discounts towards day trips, special tours, public transportation like trains and buses, and, free admission into major attractions. Instead of paying full price using the a la-carte, you can save a great deal by purchasing such passes. Some of these can be bought online, while some need to be purchased within the city, either at the tourism offices, hotels, or, airport.

Accommodations
Even though the hotel prices may frighten you, remember that you are sure to find something in budget provided you are willing to do some research. Accommodations in Europe range from budget hostels to luxurious hotels. If you are traveling solo and don’t mind sleeping ten to a room, you can really save a lot of money sleeping, whereas, couples can look for hostels offering private rooms. They may not be luxurious, but for sure offer clean, basic rooms at a minimum price.
Traveling to Europe requires money, but spending some valuable time on research and planning can help you take your dream vacation without going overboard.
