Easter Craft Supplies:

Craft Wire

Scissors

LED string lights

Different colored egg cartons – preferably cardboard

Hole puncher

Easy Easter Crafts Directions:

1. Use the scissors to cut out the “cup” of the egg cartons. Cut away the extra cardboard surrounding the “cup.”
2. Trim the edges of each “cup” to create lovely petals.
3. Repeat the process for two additional “cups” making each one smaller than the other. The smallest one can have 3 petals instead of 4.
4. Place the flowers on top of each other starting with the smallest and ending with the largest.
5. Insert the wire into the holes in the middle of each flower. Fasten it to secure the flowers together. Make sure it extends from the hole so that it can attach the flower to a branch.
6. Make a small slit on the interior part of the innermost flower starting at the middle hole.
7. Insert the LED light into the slit.
8. You can make your flowers decorative by punching holes on the petals using the hole punch. If you don’t have a hole punch, use a sharp instrument.
9. Attach the flowers to a branch or a wire from the back.

Craft Project: Spray Painted Leaves for your Interiors

Things You’ll Need

• Paper (card stock, typing, or any other type)
• Mounting board/frame
• 2 brushes (one for the cover page and one for detail work)
• Dish for paint
• Leaves (Any type). You can also use other natural elements that lie flat.
• Spray paint
• Temporary-bonding adhesive
• Craft paint

Instructions

1. On a protected surface, paint the entire sheet of paper with the craft paint. Leave to dry.
2. Spray the leaves with the glue. Affix them to the painted surface and make sure their edges are pressed down.
3. Stand 1-2 feet away and spray-paint the whole surface and over the leaves. Spray lightly in one direction (left to right or right to left) to create a smooth, non-drippy result.
4. Remove the leaves gently. You can use the detail brush to apply new paint over the initial layer for an arty look. You can also add extra color for detailing or shadowing.
5. After the paint dries, mount your craft on a board or frame and display.

You can tell your kids to scour the neighborhood for flowers, leaves, and anything else you can use as a silhouette. For the best outcome, set the leaves between 2 pieces of paper then place them between 2 heavy books. Leave them for a day or two until they become completely flat. Directions

1. Prepare all materials needed.
2. Unscrew the switch and outlet cover. Do this carefully to avoid damaging the cover.

Note: Electrical safety should be observed. You may turn off the main switch before starting this task. Anyway, this will only take a few minutes.

1. After removing the cover, wrap each cover with the colored or crafty tape. Use your creativity in doing this. You may mix and match the tape designs or with a single style.
2. Cut the excess tape using your scissors and use your cutter on the center holes or surfaces that cannot be done with scissors.
3. Check the cover for any excess of tape scraps. Remove dirt accumulated during the process.
4. Put back the cover and screw it properly.
