The pumpkin turkey chili recipe is simple and quick to make. You will get the sweet and savory flavors, from the pumpkin and other vegetables coking with the succulent turkey. All of the flavors that will soon to become a family tradition and for added sparks throw in a side of cornbread but in a shape of a waffle. The waffle cornbread can act as a base for the chili to lay on.

If you love peaches, here’s a twist on how you serve it better! This will make your appetite burst with a soothing aroma of vanilla wine combined with the delicious flavor of peach. Bear in mind that the peaches need a few hours to chill, which is why you need to plan it ahead. This is a simple dish that you can do all over again.

Holiday Peaches Soaked In Vanilla Wine Recipe

Ingredients

• 2 cups (500 ml) dryish white wine
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1 vanilla pod, split
• 4 medium peaches, washed, stems removed but left whole

Directions

1. In a saucepan that will fit your peaches snugly, stir together the wine and honey. Run the blunt end of a knife across the vanilla bean to scrape out the seeds, add the seeds to the saucepan, along with the pod itself.
2. Bring the wine mixture to a boil over medium heat, and then reduce the heat to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Allow the wine to bubble gently for a few minutes, until the honey is melted and the mixture starts to thicken just a bit. Carefully lower the peaches into the barely-simmering liquid — they should be submerged — and cook gently for 5 minutes.
3. Remove from the heat, flip the peaches over, and cover with a lid. Set aside to cool to room temperature, then chill the peaches for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
4. When you’re ready to eat, carefully remove a peach from the liquid. Gently pinch the skin with your fingers and it should pull away from the flesh. Peel the peach and place it back into the liquid. Repeat with the remaining fruit.
5. Thin some crème fraîche with a bit of the wine mixture; it’s nice at a pouring consistency. To serve, place a peach in a bowl, spoon over some of the wine, followed by the crème fraîche.

The presentation is incredibly sexy and gorgeous. You will certainly consider this in your family gatherings or special occasions to please your guests. This is not just your ordinary summer menu but is best for all seasons.

As with every season, this fall brings with it beautiful new color ideas for decorating. The last few years have been full of restrained color’s themes which reflect the economic climate; this season’s palette builds on that subtlety, allowing for a nuanced richness.

Purple meet Brown; Brown meet Purple

The “it” color of this fall is a brownish purple — or a purplish brown, depending on how the light falls, so even is the mix. “Vintage Wine” as Benjamin Moore calls it, has been declared the fall color of 2011, and presents a luxurious and deep vibe without being showy.

As shown above, it is stunning and rich as a solid wall of color, but Vintage Wine may be a little heavy for some tastes. For those that are interested in experimenting with the shade, there are a variety of levels of deepness to choose from. Lighter shades can be used to complement its boldness, while Vintage Wine can be used for accents.

Of course, for the more cautious Vintage Wine can take center stage in any room in small doses.

Finally, the deep brown tone in Vintage Wine will make it a natural complement to any room featuring darker woods, just be sure to have light elements intertwined to give your room a pop of brightness.

A cooler yellow green

It’s not all dark colors for autumn: there’s a yellow in the mix, as well. However, it’s not your stereotypical cheerful, sunny yellow. While Benjamin Moore calls this “Grape Green,” stressing its greenish overtones, it presents itself more as a dull, muted, cool shade. In any case, as a yellow, which is purple’s complement, it pairs well with Vintage Wine or stands sweetly on its own, letting a room’s decor shine.

Teal Redux

Teal has been in since at least 2009, but this season pushes it into a quieter direction. As one of the stronger colors of the fall palette, “Casco Bay” by Benjamin Moore will most likely be used as an accent color rather than a wall finish. This color also pairs nicely with Grape Green.

Its mature undertones also match nicely with dark, warm wood finishes.

A bouquet of off-whites

If this fall is all about a more subtle luxury, nothing is more appropriate than a batch of off-whites that are available. With names like Hush, Genesis White, Gray Mirage, Porcelain, Etiquette, Smoke, Paper Mache and Storm, they range in tint and warmth. Any of the colors can be a perfect neutral color, but they’ll really come out when they’re layered and juxtaposed, letting the complexity of the tints and shades play out in one room.

Like the rest of this season’s colors, the whites are all about quiet strength. This restraint makes them great long-lasting choices, evolving easily and gaining nuance into the future.

If you are trying to find a way to keep track of your gloves, your son’s mittens, and your daughters earmuffs, this storage organization rack from Martha Stewart will help! She calls is a winter wear organizer… nice.

Avoid mismatched gloves and misplaced scarves by keeping each family member’s cold-weather gear in a wire gym basket. Label the baskets, and attach them to two wooden rails (60-inch lengths of 1-by-4 lumber); use 1 1/2-inch round screw hooks at equal intervals down the center of each rail. A 1 1/2-inch screw eye in the end of each rail allows the basket rack to be suspended from 2-inch round screw hooks that have been screwed about 13 inches apart in the bottom of a coat rack. The rails are painted the same color as the coat rack.
