Super Bowl Food: Easy Chicken Parmesan Garlic Bread Pizza

Total Time:  30 min

Total Servings: 4

Ingredients

½ cup of Canned Pizza Sauce
6 Deli Fried Chicken Strips
1 (10-oz.) package of Frozen Garlic Bread Loaf
1 cup of (4-oz.) of Shredded Italian three-cheese Bread
2 tablespoons of Fresh Basil, chopped

Super Bowl Food Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.  Set the garlic bread in an arrangement where the butter sides are up on a baking sheet.  Then bake the bread for 8-9 min in the oven or until they are lightly browned.  Then take them out and spread the pizza sauce over each piece of the garlic bread until all pieces have been covered.
2. Next, cut the chicken strips into ½ inch pieces of and evenly spread them on the garlic bread pieces.  When the cut chicken strips has been placed then sprinkle each garlic bread piece with cheese and basil and bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and serve. Then serve immediately…and ENJOY!

Embrace the Theme:

Falling full-tilt into a sports theme will help your friends get in the game day mood from the moment they walk in the door.  Head to the dollar store and pick up some decorations for the day. Invest in some hanging flag banners or an Astroturf-style tablecloth. If you have footballs, helmets or other paraphernalia, wash them off and repurpose them as a centerpiece. In the event that your team is playing, use their colors as a backdrop.

Go Buffet Style:

Since the majority of the day will be spent focusing on the TV, buffet-style is the perfect choice for your super bowl blowout. Stock the table with a variety of finger foods that people will be able to eat with and minimal concentration. Don’t forget to offer plenty of wet naps as well. In terms of menu, aim for All-American classics: wings, stromboli, chips and dip, etc.  Consider doing a potluck, as well, to maximize variety while keeping your workload manageable.

Encourage Friendly Competition:

Just because you and your guests can’t be at the game doesn’t mean that you have to be separated from the competition entirely. Keep everyone entertained by offing a few simple party games. Printable super bowl bingo sheets are widely available online or take bets on the game’s final score. Offer the winning guests small prizes and encourage a little friendly rivalry to keep things interesting.

Create Two Party Areas:

While Super Bowl Sunday is undoubtedly about football, there are bound to be a few guests at your part who aren’t all that invested in the game. Cater to everyone’s interests by offering two distinct party areas: one where the game on TV is king and another where it is quiet enough to sit and chat. Just be sure to establish a flow between the two party zones, so that people can come and go as they please.

For those of you that don’t care to spend your entire Sunday, eating and breathing football. This post is for you. If you think about it, at least 6 hours are dedicated to just the Super Bowl – think of what you could accomplish in those hours, that’s all most an average work day!

1.) Go Shopping:

It’s a good time to go to the mall. True, the malls normally close at six o’clock on Sundays, but the afternoon would lend to a relatively peaceful shopping experience, as other people are at home getting ready for the game.

2.) Go to the Movies:

What a great time to go see a movie! I often like to go alone, and I’m almost guaranteed an empty theater. Besides, my daughter is two and a half and has never gone to the movies. Perhaps this is a good time to try out a first time.

3.) Go out to Dinner:

Do you have a  few friends that don’t want to watch the big game? How about having a quiet dinner party or a romantic dinner out? No lines to wait in, and fast and fabulous service; obviously servers hate working this night, as almost no one goes out to eat. It is a night for low to no tips, so, a good night for a non-football fan to go out. But, a good night to tip a little more than usual.

4.) Find Kid Activities:

If you have kids uninterested in the game, this is a good night to take them out to do something they enjoy. Skating or something of the like. That way, it can be a special night for them as well.

5.) Stay in and enjoy ‘me or alone’ time:

Maybe you’d still like to stay home? What a great night to treat yourself! (Again, it’s practically a holiday!) Maybe rent a movie or buy a pay-per-view you’ve been longing to see. Get yourself some fancy bath salts or bubble bath. Let yourself escape in a great novel.

The big game day is coming. You know what team you’re routing for, but do you know how 20 of your friends and family are going to fit in your small living room, around the 17″ t.v.?  Relax, let Stagetecture help you get organized now, so on Sunday you can enjoy your guests!

1.) Decor:

Don’t forget the thrift and pharmacy stores! Convenience stores and Dollar stores are great places to stock up on plastic cutlery, cups, paper ware and decorations. Paper table cloths are disposable, and perfect for greasy hands, and munchers!

2.) Food:

Ask guests before they come if they have food allergies, preferences, special diets, etc… You would hate to buy 30 lbs of wings, and everyone is a vegetarian! Once you have an idea, make a budget.  Often times you will spend more at a warehouse store, then a grocery store – and will have less choices. Try and grocery shop during the week, or after work to avoid long lines over the weekend. If children are coming, have kid friendly foods too! Your guests will enjoy themselves more, if they can partake in all of the festivities, including foods they enjoy!

3.) Viewing Area:

If you don’t have enough room around your television, consider renting one from a rental center. Were you considering buying a new t.v.? Electronic stores will have killer sales this week on flat screens, and entertainment electronics. Also remember, everyone doesn’t like football. Some people come for the camaraderie. Consider having a seating area in another room for those who want to talk and laugh.. away from the screen!

Enjoy the day, whether your watching the game or hanging out with friends, the big game gives an excuse to enjoy yourself!
