We like to hang pictures on the walls, but sometimes have you ever noticed that the frames themselves are so beautifully made that you wish they could in a way stand alone on the wall or table? Well make it happen, create a DIY project! Remove the glass and unnecessary items then hang or stand them around the home. Here are some ideas for how decorate and hang/stand the frames around the home.
White-Washed Frames

Go for a classic, clean and elegant look and white wash the frames. Start by choosing which frames you would like to use. Pick frames with different shapes, sizes, builds and remove the glass and set them on a newspaper then spray paint each frames with two coats. Then let them dry and place them however you would like around the space.
Use Frames in a New Way

Mix and Match the frames. Now there are some images within this idea but the result is very rewarding. Put up frames that are just frames then mix it up by adding frames with photos, designs, words, mirrors, fruits etc. The overall look of the wall will be filled with excitement and awe, the variety pattern will give the room an animated feel.
Frames on Wall Paper

Let the wall paper be the image within the frame. Choose wall paper with different colors, scenic views, whimsical shapes, textures etc. Them place an empty frame on the wall . The frames give the wall a clean and uniform look. Also have the frame to match the molding or outline color being used within the space.
Colored Frames

We previously discussed the white-washing idea for the frames but other colors will work great as well. You would repeat the same process as you did for the white-washing except you would use another color instead of the white. Try using bold colors because the frames are so slender and have nothing within them the bold color will help them to stand out within the room.
Between the Frames

Add items within the frames that are not photos. Like the image above is using butterfly wall ornaments in the center of the frames which brings depth to the frames. You are still keeping with using just the frames yet a few ornament pieces will help the frames to pop out if you choose not use many frames on the wall.
