We’ve talked about wallpaper, and different ways to use it, in past posts. I’m still miffed as to why people don’t do more with wallpaper. You don’t have to use it for every single wall in the room, or you can! Let’s show you some ways to use wall paper as subtly or as boldly as you want to go!
SUBTLE:
How about using wallpaper as an accent that subtly blends with its surroundings? Take a look at this wallpaper in the kitchen in this article from Apartment Therapy.
How about wallpaper that is sophisticated, and comes from.. Walt Disney! I know, I know, stop thinking Princess and the Frog! Casa Sugar, showcases a modern styled wallpaper that has been introduced from York Wallcoverings and Walt Disney Signature.
BOLD:
Now when I say bold, I’m not meaning blinding your eyes and running out of the room bold. By bold I mean, larger prints, deeper/richer colors, and less blending with its surroundings. I love this wallpaper chosen by Raina Cox, from If The Lampshade Fits. The bold color and large print, is a nice backdrop to the neutral furniture.
How about bold that doesn’t have any color? Look at this great wallpaper called “Blank Canvas” featured on Remodelista. Perfect for a kid’s room or even better at a daycare or children museum. (Hey, I’m not telling you to have your kid’s write on the walls, but it’s still very cool – you have to admit).
