Baking soda can do more than just an effective ingredient for cooking. It is also known as one of the best non-toxic cleaners for your home. Experts have described baking soda as a chemical salt that can be used effectively for cleaning and baking.
Here are more specific ways to reuse your baking soda:
Wash vegetables and fruits
This is very effective especially if you want to clean root crops and leafy vegetables. To do this, just mix a few teaspoons of baking soda in a bowl. Soak your fruits and vegetables for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly. You will see that dirt and dust are removed from fruits and vegetables without much effort.
Unclog kitchen or bathroom drains
All you have to do is to pour a cup of baking soda and then followed by a cup of hot vinegar down the drain. Wait for 15 minutes before flushing the drain with hot water. Repeat a few times until the drainage is clear.
